The IDENA formulation team hopes you enjoy reading it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ic-blocks-responsive-spacer\"><div style=\"height:50px\"><\/div><div style=\"height:50px\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading \"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-50-color\">FOCUS&#8217;ID<\/mark> &#8211; Inter-batch transfers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In animal nutrition, inter-batch transfer refers to the presence in a batch of feed or raw material of a residual fraction from a previous batch. This is the result of incomplete emptying or cleaning of the equipment used for manufacturing, storage or transport. This type of carryover must be controlled in order to guarantee feed quality, particularly when using additives, medicines or other substances that need to be controlled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Various control processes are implemented to reduce this risk to an acceptable level. Here we present all of these measures as well as the main regulatory requirements governing their application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Physical characteristics: Deposits and mechanical retention on walls during the transport\/storage of raw materials or food manufacturing, and detachment when the next batch passes through.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toxicological characteristics: Even a marginal addition of a residual dose may be sufficient to exceed the maximum regulatory threshold.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Health risks:<\/strong> Unintentional exposure of animals to active substances such as coccidiostats, antibiotics, GMOs, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Control through design: <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Limit retention areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritise dedicated lines or compatible sequences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adapt equipment (lifts, screws, hoppers) to reduce deposits and facilitate cleaning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Risks of non-compliance:<\/strong> failure to meet the requirements specified in the specifications and exceeding internal thresholds or regulatory maximum levels for additives (Regulation (EC) No 1831\/2003) and undesirable substances (Directive 2002\/32).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Control through procedures<\/em>: Define and apply manufacturing sequences (increasingly sensitive food campaigns), purge cycles, drainage\/cleaning protocols and strict planning rules for batches containing hazardous substances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Implement an Inter-Batch Transfer Control Plan (PCTIL) with a choice of tracers (additives, analytical markers, external tracers) and targeted controls to verify residual levels after purging or changing campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ic-blocks-responsive-spacer\"><div style=\"height:20px\"><\/div><div style=\"height:20px\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading icone-rice\">Tendance des Mati\u00e8res Premi\u00e8res<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In February, there was a <strong>slight increase in cereal prices<\/strong>. <strong>Oilseed meal prices<\/strong> remained fairly <strong>stable<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1400\" height=\"990\" src=\"https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-06-1400x990.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7354\" style=\"width:656px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-06-1400x990.jpg 1400w, https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-06-768x543.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-06-scaled.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1400px) 100vw, 1400px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ic-blocks-responsive-spacer\"><div style=\"height:50px\"><\/div><div style=\"height:50px\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading icone-briefcase\">Formules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This month, there has been a <strong>slight upward trend in prices for monogastric and ruminant feed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1105\" height=\"1052\" src=\"https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-07-1105x1052.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7358\" style=\"width:391px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-07-1105x1052.jpg 1105w, https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-07-768x731.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.idena.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/formulinfo-fev-26-page-07-scaled.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1105px) 100vw, 1105px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ic-blocks-responsive-spacer\"><div style=\"height:50px\"><\/div><div style=\"height:50px\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading icone-hatching_chick\">Species<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group animate__fadeInUp animation-extend paused animate__animated\" style=\"border-radius:0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mulard duck:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The cereal profile is similar to that of January, with a slight decrease in sorghum in favour of wheat. Cereal co-products are stable, with a balance between meal and bran. However, the profile of protein raw materials has changed. The wheat content decreases in favour of an increase in sorghum. The rest of the formula remains stable.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group animate__fadeInUp animation-extend paused animate__animated\" style=\"border-radius:0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pigs:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Between January and February, there was a decrease in triticale, offset by an increase in wheat. The increase in re-milling offset the decrease in wheat bran. The decrease in fibre content from barley is offset by an increase in re-milling and beet pulp. The protein profile remains stable overall (LP sunflower and rapeseed meal).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group animate__fadeInUp animation-extend paused animate__animated\" style=\"border-radius:0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dairy cows:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In February, the formula will change to include a slight reduction in triticale, offset by the introduction of sorghum.
