Since its beginnings, IDENA has been expanding internationally, making its mark on the animal nutrition market with its innovations.

IDENA makes its zootechnical and additives expertise available to its partners. Aware of the specific problems encountered in the field, we are constantly developing new solutions, in collaboration with our partners and customers, to ensure a creative, anticipatory and appropriate offering.

An expert in the in-depth knowledge of botanical active ingredients (crushed plants, seaweed extracts, essential oils), which is integrated into our expertise in animal nutrition, IDENA has developed over time to broaden its expertise with the acquisition of STI biotechnologie.

IDENA PRODUCTION, the first step

6 years after the creation of IDENA, in 2001, IDENA PRODUCTION opened its doors. Conceived as a technological breakthrough, this plant, which has since undergone 2 major expansions, embodies the spirit of innovation and differentiation.  
The desire to design the plant differently and ever more securely stems from the particularly tense context created by major health crises. Today, this process continues to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, providing safer, more effective solutions.

SECOPALM, expertise at the service of livestock farms

2001 also saw the birth of a new subsidiary for the IDENA Group.

SECOPALM, based in Aire sur L’Adour in the Landes region of France, brings together a team of enthusiasts working directly with livestock farmers.

Specialising in poultry and ruminants, SECOPALM provides technical advice, high-performance nutritional products and exclusive, original services to support your livestock production.

INDY FEED is an IDENA Group subsidiary, close to the field, specialising in pig production.

Our responsive team of nutritionists promises solutions to our livestock farming partners to ensure the performance of their farms.
The INDY FEED range is made up of nutritional specialities and a complete range of customised minerals to suit the farming context.

STI biotechnologie, the science of life

Based in Brittany, near Fougères, STI biotechnologie gives the Group additional expertise in the management of digestive flora.

STI biotechnologie’s main objectives are to contribute to the sustainability of our livestock farms, promote animal welfare and improve our carbon footprint.

The products produced by the STI biotechnology plant are probiotics and postbiotics, which provide health and environmental benefits.

STI biotechnologie has 2 exclusive strains of lactobacillus, making it the only company in the world to produce products that improve the effectiveness of animals’ intestinal microbiota.

Since 2023 and the acquisition of VERTAL

At the end of 2023, the VERTAL Group, a designer and manufacturer of agricultural biosolutions, joined the IDENA Group. This acquisition gave the Group greater agronomic expertise to develop solutions for farming and livestock professionals.

In fact, VERTAL specialises in agronomic products: soil and effluent activators and foliar fertilisers. They develop their products with an agro-ecological approach for the soil and living organisms, which also promotes animal welfare.
