Increasing feed efficiency is one of the major levers for improving farm profitability.
In poultry, the average Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) varies from 1.5 to 3 kg of feed per kilogram of live weight. It varies from 2.6 to 3 in pigs and from 4 to 10 in beef cattle.
